When it was publicly announced it didn’t had support particularly from the MCA’s. But as time went by and some changes were later on made, they came out and started pushing it and campaigning aggressively for what was added to them was going to be of much importance giving them no room for opposing it. Have this in mind that they had to support it after seeing that their needs have been addressed which gave them no room of opposing it anymore.
I don’t want to be called or titled ‘a one-sided man” just because of only shedding light and drawing lines in one side and failing to cut across the other nor to be called a barbarian for opposing the change they want to bring about. But not until the limitation of something is addressed then expect zero or minimal change.
Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will have to spend around Sh14 billion if it happens that the parliament endorses the BBI project. It is very well known to every Citizen that the economic stability of the nation was thoroughly ruined after the Covid 19 hit the country and there are possibilities that the effects could be more intense as time goes by. Due to this effect, the government is expected not to have enough money to run the its ruling swiftly thus making it relaying on loans.
Our medical officers who are in the front line of cubing the pandemic across the country haven’t received enough PPEs for them to be 100% sure of not contacting the virus, the national police officers haven’t all received the new uniforms and still there are national exams going on in the country and with this the government is left right and center fully committed. These are among the few important duties and aspects which the government is articulated to at the moment and requires no hesitation at any given time.
When Nurses and Doctors were on strike, the government gave out an excuse that they don’t have money to provide them with what they requested for but as soon as the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) came across and had to be funded so that it may run its campaign, all over sudden the government managed to get funds for that. It’s astonishing and quite discouraging seeing that the government isn’t able to fund some of its important duties and essential services in the country. Until the government advisors understand the importance of funding first the critical services in the nation then her citizens will always be subjected to hardship and suffering.
This vividly shows that the government currently doesn’t have the respective knowledge and ideas on where and what to fund and therefore there is a great need for it to get good advisers to advice the responsible leaders on the important aspects to fund instantly and those which they yes need to be funded but can wait for some time. By doing so they’ll be making constructive steps benefiting not just those in power but also those who elected them to be on those top seats.
