News just in indicates that speed cameras have now been allegedly installed on Thika Superhighway at SP to curb the over speeding which has been blamed for a number of road accidents.
According to the information shared by multiple sources, motorists who will exceed specified speed limits will receive fines inform of electronic tickets and proceed with payment through MPESA.
This new revelation comes only days after Cabinet Secretary for Transport Kipchumba Murkomen revealed that the government was planning to install speed cameras along major highways to curb overspeeding problem that has been blamed for a number of road accidents.
The installation of the speed cameras was also aimed at reducing traffic police officers on the road .
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki had also said that the government would introduce cameras to reduce the number of traffic police officers.
