Today, I cradled Sadness,I met her in the eye.“I’m leaving you,” I whispered,And urged her not to cry. She fought with her displacement,Afraid of letting go.“I need the space,” I told her, “For happiness to grow.” Today I held my Anger,I gazed upon her face.“You’re fear disguised,” I whispered,“Deserving of more grace.” She felt resistance melting, Her circuitry re-wired, “I’m leaving you,” I told her, “So love can come inside.”

Today I hugged Forgiveness,I held her hand in mine.“I’ve searched for you,” I whispered, “You found me just in time.”She coursed throughout my blood stream, Dissolving all my pain,“You’ve rescued me,” I told her,“Now peace can take her reign.”Today I kissed Elation,Alluded I was free…Asked if she might Contemplate a walk through life, with me.She didn’t need to answer, I saw it in her face. “Yes my love,” she whispered.“I’ve longed for your embrace.”
