It is that new phase in life where individuals have to stay indoors to stay safe, to stay healthy. What is creating the difference in the interaction?
The number of sexual defilement cases reported at this period in time is alarming. The number of women who have complained on the same has been wanting. Women being battered, having to deal with frustration of feeding their children even with the current state of the economy. The period in time when individuals are seated noticing every corner in the room, noticing the new crack on the wall ,while others are having a blast just sharing with their kids ,learning to interact with the children.
The parents are getting to interact with their children in a whole new way. The current economic standing is weighing down on the individuals therefore more reactions are being sited to the current situation.
A country like Ethiopia has taken to resolving the gender based violence cases speedily. In Kenya 41.1 % of the cases filed in the courts are sexual offences cases. This is following a report released by the director of public prosecution earlier on in April.
Individuals have lost their jobs despite being in work simply a few days back. It has also seen many take out their anger on their spouses. With the curfew restricting individuals at their homes by seven, there are many who do not know how to manage their anger and therefore may take the opportunity to show resentment on their children and spouses throwing the blame on them for their current predicament.
The best way to see that such situations are mitigated is by ensuring that there is more conversation .Protecting the children. Speaking out helps release the tension. As it is said sharing is caring. Therefore sharing both time and also sharing ones words is ensuring that individuals do not have more mental frustration therefore mental diseases. Violence is never the answer, we never have to learn to speak out. Despite your situation do know there are better days. The only way left to go after hitting rock bottom is going up.
